Mecca Al-Mukarramah

Mecca Al-Mukarramah is the holiest city in Islam, located in the western part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is considered the birthplace of the Islamic call and the home of the Holy Kaaba, the qibla (direction) for Muslims in their prayers. Mecca is distinguished by its great religious significance and is visited by millions annually to perform Umrah and the pilgrimage (Hajj). It is a city that combines spirituality and deep history.

Al-Masjid Al-Haram

The largest mosque in the world, housing the Holy Kaaba.

Contains the Station of Ibrahim, Zamzam Well, and Safa and Marwah hills.

A destination for Muslims for prayer, Tawaf (circumambulation), and Sa’i (ritual walking).

Jabal Al-Nour (Mountain of Light)

Contains the Cave of Hira, where the revelation was sent down to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Jabal Thawr (Mount Thawr)

Contains the Cave of Thawr, where the Prophet and Abu Bakr hid during the migration to Medina.

Mecca Museum (The Two Holy Mosques Museum)

Displays rare artifacts from the Two Holy Mosques and models showing their development through the ages.

Al-Ma’la Cemetery

Known to contain the graves of several companions and members of the Prophet’s ﷺ family, such as Lady Khadijah.

Clock Tower (King Abdul Aziz Endowment)

The tallest tower in Mecca, housing a luxury hotel and a shopping mall.

It includes the Clock Museum at the top overlooking the Haram.
